For Awakening the Holy Bell Tolls

                IKTCDS is surrounded by fruitful and beautiful Carp Lake in Puli, Taiwan. The lake is clear and peaceful. People always enjoy the tranquility and fresh air here. This wonderful piece of land is rewarded by God and is meant to build a university. Its name and the shield are also designated to God. The school is blessed with the grace of Heaven and virtues of Holy Teachers and was built with the efforts of all saints, sages and Tao seniors. Eventually, it was completed and shows a majestic image. We enshrine and honor Holy Mater on the top floor; it is full of the glory of Buddhas, and it makes the whole place shiny and harmonious as well. Immersing oneself in this building, one would attain a bright mind, clear thoughts and wisdom. During the White-Yang Era, Tao and Doom are descended at the same time. As a Tao cultivator, one must propagate Tao by using wisdom to clarify the good and the bad, and follow tightly the Golden Path of Heavenly Decree as well. Tao cultivators need to shoulder the great mission given by Holy Teachers with courage and never give up. Although we may encounter many hardships, we believe we will make it as long as we have faith in our heart. Therefore, let’s practice Tao with undaunted hearts and try our best to propagate Tao to every corner of the world we can; create a bright future for all sentient beings and lead everyone back to Heaven. By cultivating the heart and nurturing the character, we can become role models who are able to inspire people; furthermore, we can also pass on the spirits of saints and sages.

                The school is symbolic of a great Dharma Boat on the Long Mountain in Puli. It nurtures people to become pillars of society and helps them go back to Heaven. One who studies at IKTCDS can access a lot of resources of holy scriptures and classics. By studying thoroughly and researching diligently, we are confident we can merge the essence of all doctrines and share this wisdom with people throughout the world. In spite of enduring trials, shouldering the mission with courage is the performance of a wise person. It is like a plum tree that has to endure cold weather, and then it blooms fragrantly later. This is the true Dharma that helps people reach enlightenment, and we must preach it clearly. Let sentient beings understand this is the only Supreme Dharma. Therefore, we need to clarify all confusing points. In order to carry on the vows of all saints and sages, we should expound their teachings and keep them in the mind. Five major religions point out the same Reality of the Ultimate and indicate the same direction back to Heaven. Moral conscience is like a standard, which can be developed after promoting and practicing the Dharma. After all is said and done, the purpose of learning is to understand a true realization and practice it. By so doing, one can overcome all worldly thoughts and enter a sainthood and enjoy the holiness. Let’s pull together and work hard as a team to help all mortal beings in the last salvation and wave a flag of the White-Yang Era in the world.

                Today, the school has been set up, and we must learn diligently to realize the holiness of the Heavenly Decree. This school is operated by Heaven and human beings. We have to inherit the Tao lineage and pass it on to future generations. We ought to undertake the mission with responsibility and cultivate both intrinsic virtues and extrinsic merits. Our goals are to collect and compile scriptures by Buddhas and classics by saints or sages, and use these as charters and standards to humanize people and transform their lives for the better; guide all sentient beings to become enlightened; pass on the torch of the spiritual heritage of Tao, and carry forward missions, forging ahead into the future. We also need to ring the Golden Bell of the White-Yang Era (awakening), make the earthly world a great harmonious one, and then Maitreya’s Buddhahood could come true in this secular world.
